I still remember the day I got the keys to my first apartment. Rent cost a whopping $395 per month, and utilities were cheap because there was no working heat in the bedroom. Also, I was a bachelor.
Four years later, I was handed the keys to my first home. I brought my first child home from the hospital there. Then my second two years later.
